Okta Workflows - Slack Connection

By using the Slack connection, we can automate actions like sending DM or messages to a private or public channel.

To set a new Slack connection, go to the Connections tab and click
+New Connection.

Search for the Slack app and select Slack (not Slack Admin)

Give it a name and a description

Once we press create, we will be forwarded to the Slack page, where we need to specify the Slack workspace URL and the account used.

Give Slack permissions to Okta Workflows - select Allow.
Make sure you have specified the correct Slack domain. On top right corner, you can change to the correct domain

📔 If we use a specific user account and not a service / general account, then any DMs will be sent from this specific user, which can be very confusing.

We can use the Test Connection 🩷 option to confirm that the connection is active.
